Sinan Hussein is a Neo-surrealist Iraqi Artist, is currently living and working in Boston, U.S.A. He enjoys a style that is distinctly his embedded within recognized repeated visual elements which tell stories and visions of child who later grew to face the hardships of having to flee his country. His interpretations of his life experiences are recorded in his artwork in the forms of riddles and cyphers.
Born in Baghdad Iraq, 1977, he took his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baghdad University, Iraq in 2003. He is a member of the Iraqi Plastic Arts Association.
His works have been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Muscat and in Boston, Washington, Seatle, Detroit in United States of America.
Sinan;s works are held in the notable private collections of the Kuwait Museum, Kuwait, The Arab Fund Museum, Kuwait, Barjeel, Sharjah, U.A.E and Silsali Private Museum, Dubai, U.A.E
He was awarded Al Khorafi International Biennially for Arab contemporary Art Award (2008), and the Complimentary award for the Hafidh al-Droubi (Hafez Al Droubi) Hall exhibition (2004)
